Yakubu Lawal, the Nasarawa state Minister for Information and Culture, has been hijacked by yet-to-be-distinguished shooters.
He was hijacked from his home in Nasarawa Eggon.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Nansel Rahman, affirmed the occurrence to columnists Tuesday morning.
He said, "On 15/8/202 at around 2045hrs, the consideration of Policemen on routine watch was attracted to the sound of irregular discharges in the Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state."
Subsequently, he said the Police agents joined to Nasarawa Eggon Division hustled to the scene while the Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi promptly supported the men with a consolidated separation of the Police Mobile Force, the Anti capturing unit, Military staff, Vigilante as well as nearby trackers.
"Upon landing in the scene, it was found those obscure shooters while shooting irregularly, attacked the home of one Hon. Yakubu Lawal Addah, strongly snatched him to an obscure objective."
He further said the inquiry and salvage activity is progressing by the joined group, drove by Area Commander, Akwanga Area Command, ACP Halliru Aliyu to save the casualty safe and capture the culprits of the wrongdoing.
