Ayu denies resignation reports
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu, has disproved reports that he has surrendered as the executive of the party.
Ayu said he had no designs to leave before his residency closes.
The director made the explanation in a proclamation on Monday endorsed by his media helper, Simon Imobo-Tswana.
Ayu was responding to a report by a public day to day (Not The PUNCH) on Monday that his renunciation letter was in the guardianship of a previous President of the Senate, David Mark.
In any case, the party director in his proclamation portrayed the case as misleading, saying that it exists just in the creative mind of those promoting it.
It read, "The consideration of the PDP National Chairman has been attracted to supported stories the news media today. The accounts imply that the PDP National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, has surrendered. They further add that his implied abdication letter is with ex-Senate President David Mark.
"Our response: We state, with all accentuation, that this story is, completely, misleading, unmerited, crazy, off base, and a total work of fiction. On the off chance that there is such a renunciation, it exists just in the creative mind of the people who have made themselves accessible for attack pieces."
